Veil of Shadows
Lu Wuyi, the youngest nine-tailed fox of the mysterious Formless Moon Sect, sets out on a mission with her friend Wu Wangyan to track down a fox demon on the run, Xiaowei. She infiltrates the Wei Mansion in Luo'an City, where she later crosses paths with Wu Shiguang, who holds a deep grudge, as well as Ji Ling and Li Jie, demon hunters from the Shilin Sect. In the process of uncovering the truth, they navigate between suspicion and cooperation, each driven by their own agendas. In their repeated struggles over the Dragon Deity's Power, their fates are changed time and again. To preserve peace in the world, they make painful sacrifices and ultimately subdue Jiu Ying, the lord of all demons, thus fulfilling an enduring quest of love and redemption.

Episode 1
The gruesome Luo’an heart ripper case disrupts Wei Qing and Yu Shengwei’s wedding. Wu Shiguang’s team dives into the investigation.
Episode 2
A fox spirit attacks Yu Shengwei. Wu Shiguang and Wu Wangyan uncover connections among the victims whose hearts were torn from their bodies.
Episode 3
Ji Ling and Li Jie set a trap for Xiao Wei but are captured by Yu Wei instead. Wu Wangyan and Yu wei vanish into the air during battle.
Episode 4
Wei Qing dies, and the group tracks down Xiao Wei, only to discover she is actually Liu Weixue, while Yu Shengwei is the reincarnation of Wang Sheng.
Episode 5
Craving wealth and status, Luo Wei kills Yu Shengwei. Yuan Wuhuo orders Xiao Wei to reclaim the Dragon God’s power.
Episode 6
Liu Weixue tries to revive Yu Shengwei but ends up injuring Jiling. The Dragon God ends the crisis, and Liu Weixue disappears.
Episode 7
Luwuyi tests Jiling, and the two part on bad terms. Jiling and Lijie are then ordered to retrieve Wu Shiguang’s Dragon God power.
Episode 8
Wu Wangyan carries out the mission alone and teams up with Wu Shiguang. Lu Wuyi then witnesses Ji Ling change back into a wooden figurine.
Episode 9
Lu Wuyi is jailed, while Wu Wangyan and Wu Shiguang head to the Shan Gu Desolation. The Dragon God also sends Lu Wuyi there with him.
Episode 10
In the Shan Gu Desolation, the group runs into Wu Zhiqi. Wu Shi Guang pulls everyone into an illusion — and they must escape before disaster strikes.
Episode 11
Man Man and Di Zhu believe the killer is after the Starstone. Cang Hao seeks to find out the truth about a clan's fall. Qing Yi has recurring nightmares.
Episode 12
Di Zhu attacks his father. The Yuan brothers plot to steal the Starstone by night. Qing Yi has terrible, bloody dreams.
Episode 13
Inside the illusion, the group finds the Starstone. A young Wu Zhiqi misuses it and, after being reborn, vows to save his people.
Episode 14
Outside the illusion, You Chi and the others try to open a passage. Those who are inside touch the Starstone and arrive on the eve of the catastrophe.
Episode 15
Man Man and Di Zhu capture the Jiu Ying, a nine-headed dragon, but it goes on to annihilate the Jiao clan ; both humans and demons alike are slaughtered.
Episode 16
The prisoners of the illusion escape it. Wu Shiguang's true identity is revealed, and the evil spirit turns back into the Starstone.
